The Barada river (نهر بردى) is the most important waterway in Damascus (دمشق). Known as Abana in the Bible, this photcrom captures the serenity of this river with the Takiyya Sulaymaniyya (التكيه السليمانيه) mosque magnificently standing in the background of this photocrom reprint.
