This map by Flemish Cartographer Abraham Ortelius of the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire (دولت عليه عثمانیه) was first created circa 1570 and is one of the most important, well known and detailed maps of the Middle East in the 16th century. Written in Latin, it extends from Greece to Arabia it was informed by Marco Polo's travels. This reprint was first published in Antwerp in 1579 by Frans Hogenberg. Scale is ~1:12,300,000.
