This 1884 Vintage Map reprint of the Ottoman Empire's Asian provinces includes an abundance of details worth exploring. Names have several languages - for example the Mediterranean is listed in French, Greek, Turkish, and Arabic. Damascus is written as Damas and Sham. From Anatolia to Libya, stretching all the way to the Caspian sea, one can spend hours admiring its detail.

The map is in French, however it was created by German geographer and cartographer Heinrich Kiepert. A note indicates that it was updated with railroad routes in 1912, thirteen years after his death. It was added to the Library of Congress archives in 1967.

This is a hi-res reprint (not an original), framed and printed on thick matte paper.
