1898-46 Hama Al-Baz Waterwheel Framed Vintage Photo

Rare view of the Al-Baz waterwheel (ناعورة الباز) in all it's glory prior to it's damage and the destruction in 1982 of the Al-Kaylaniya neighborhood (حي الكيلانية) around it. While this dry plate negative (reprint) is dated between 1898-1946, it is likley the photo taken between 1920-1939 by the American Colony/ Matson Photo Service.
