This U.A.R Arab Mother's Day stamp set reprint from 1960 commemorates this significant holiday across Syria and the Arab world. It shares the same design as the 1959 Mother's Day stamp with a printed update reflecting the new year. The United Arab Republic (الجمهورية العربية المتحدة) refers to the political union of Syria and Egypt between February 1958 and September 1961. While Egypt kept the name after Syria seceded until 1971, Syria immediately reverted back.
